Making A Will
Do you know that if you don’t have a valid Will the state dictates where your assets go! The law of England and Wales gives you the freedom to decide who should and who should not benefit from your death, but only if you have created a legally valid Will. Here at Atheneys we have made the process of making a Will as simple as possible, whilst ensuring your wishes are accurately recorded and legally enforceable. Everyone over the age of 18 really should have a valid Will if they want to be sure that their estate goes to the people they want it to.
Our Will Writing Service is specifically designed to make things easy for you. We have a range of appointment times to fit in with your busy life. These include daytime and evening appointments with weekend visits available by prior agreement. We can come to your home or office, whichever is best for you. If there is an urgent need we can make special arrangements to attend Care Homes, Hospitals or Hospices.
Our service begins with a phone call (01202 798867) or an email. We will arrange for a professionally qualified Estate Planner to come and discuss your requirements. We will talk you through the options available to you and offer our professional recommendations once we fully understand what you want to achieve with your Will. We will explain the legal wording of the Will and what it means in plain English.
Once we have the information we need a draft Will is produced and sent to you. This gives us the opportunity to fine tune anything or to adjust the Will until you are completely satisfied that it is exactly what you want. Once you are happy with the draft Will, we arrange with you a convenient time and place where you can sign your new Will. Again, our expert will be on hand to ensure the signing is carried out correctly, ensuring your new Will is legally valid and enforceable.
We also offer free storage in our secure depository ensuring your Will is not lost, destroyed or accidently misplaced.
